Jessica Alba Tweet Boosts Naturepedic

The opening of a Beverly Hills, Calif., Naturepedic store and retailer training center earlier this year not only attracted celebrities to the grand opening, but also yielded celebrity mileage through vehicles such as Twitter.
The latest example was Alba's tweet this a couple of weeks ago: "Loving my @naturepedic certified #organic mattress with no flame retardant chemicals. #safehealthysleep.”
According to Heidi Baumgart, Naturpedic’s marketing director, as of last Tuesday, Alba had 7.75 million followers, and her tweet received 100 retweets and 350 likes and dozens of comments.
“We are very pleased about Ms. Alba’s support as both a celebrity and Co-Founder of The Honest Company," Baumgart said. "This is not only a new media success for the Naturepedic 'certified organic' mattress brand, but this is invaluable support from a genuine fan of healthier and safer products for babies and kids, who also is a popular movie actress with a strong following. We are naturally pleased that Ms. Alba feels this strongly about our 'certified organic' mattress.”
