Vendep Startup Fund has made a 1.3 million Euro (about $1.65 million) investment in VividWorks, a supplier of online 3D product configuration, interior design and visualization technology.
Based in Helsinki, Finland, VividWorks has a global client base and runs offices in three continents. The company works with Ekornes and La-Z-Boy within the furniture industry.
"Our innovative, cost-effective and fully customizable tools have proved to be the ideal solution for several major customers worldwide, and we have already managed to secure a firm foothold for example in the U.S. market," said Miska Visuri, VividWorks CEO. "The funding we have received from Vendep Startup Fund and other investors will help us further strengthen our position in these vital markets."
Jupe Arala, senior partner with Vendep, said VividWorks is an exciting company with creative retail technology.
"The team behind the technology possesses unique skills and a solid background in Web 3D and how to utilize that in commercial solutions," Arala said. "More than two-thirds of VividWorks' turnover already comes from international markets, and the company is actively looking for growth especially in the U.S."
