Woodard Retains The Media Matters

Woodard Furniture, a manufacturer of wrought iron, aluminum, and all-season wicker outdoor furniture and accessories, has selected The Media Matters as its public relations agency of record.

The Media Matters will develop and implement a comprehensive public relations and communications strategy that bolsters Coppell, Texas-based Woodard’s short-and long-term marketing initiatives. Woodard chose The Media Matters for its balanced offerings in both traditional and new media, and its relationships with consumer-facing media.

Woodard was founded in 1866 and is the oldest wrought iron company operating in the United States. Its broad line of casual outdoor furniture incorporates hand-wrought iron, cast aluminum, tubular aluminum and all-season wicker frames complemented with an extensive selection of finishes and fabrics.

“One of our strategic goals at Woodard is to increase our visibility and positioning with consumers,” said Bill Herren, creative director. “Consumer acceptance is a conclusive retail support mechanism, and we believe our partnership with The Media Matters will assist in that endeavor. Their expertise in all facets of marketing communications with special emphasis in brand strategy and public relations will be very beneficial to us as we continue to build awareness and grow as an industry leader.”

“Woodard is a gem—they have a clear vision of where they want to go, they are committed to using the best tools and tactics to get there, and their products are beautifully crafted and executed,” said Kathy D. Wall, president of The Media Matters, Lexington, N.C.
“We have an array of novel and proven methods to bring their collections to an eager consumer audience.”
