Mattress supplier Spring Time Bedding has signed a long-term lease for a 120,000-square-foot production and manufacturing center in Teterboro, N.J., relocating from South Hackensack, N.J.
The larger space will allow the company to ramp up production to 5,000 mattresses a day. All of the company's 150 employees have relocated with the move.
“Spring Time has seen tremendous growth over the last several years," said Isaac Jacobovitz, CEO. "We are consistently opening more accounts and continue to introduce a larger portfolio of products. In order to meet our full potential, we realized that we didn’t have enough space in the South Hackensack facility and started looking for new property. We’ve added equipment which increases our efficiency and production capabilities to better serve our existing and new customers.”
The new headquarters houses sales, marketing, manufacturing, product development and operations. The company recently purchased two new quilting machines that will enable it to increase production from 1,800 to 5,000 mattresses a day. The facility's 16 loading docks and 11 shipping docks will allow for a faster product turn around.
The company has been manufacturing and distributing sleep products for more than 20 years. Spring Time Bedding grew from a 3,000-square-foot facility in Paterson, N.J., at its founding, to its new facility in Teterboro, N.J.
