Magniflex Teams with Kansas City Royals
The partnership coincides with the Royals’ December 2013 acquisition of Japanese-born outfielder Norichika Aoki, Magniflex’s current spokesperson. With significant media and fan interest for Aoki in his native country and an expected 60 games to broadcast to Japan throughout 2014, the partnership aims to sustain Magniflex’s popularity in the Japanese market while simultaneously boosting their North American exposure via television interviews, appearances, and social media activity involving Aoki.
“Sales in Japan have skyrocketed in recent years, much thanks to Nori Aoki’s attachment to the brand,” said U.S. National Sales Manager Billy Curtright. “Building off the momentum of our newly launched US collections, our investment in Aoki and the Royals brand promises greater North American exposure on a relatable, cultural level.”
Magniflex recently opened a 5,000-square-foot Miami showroom featuring new mattresses, pillows, and accessories, redeveloped and reengineered to meet the specific comfort preferences of American consumers.
