Guildmaster Launches Stories Made by Hand Contest

Accent furniture and accessories vendor Guildmaster has announced today a contest calling for buyers to submit their favorite stories of how Guildmaster pieces have enhanced their lives.

This contest is the next phase of the “Stories Made by Hand” marketing campaign launched earlier this year. Buyers will have the opportunity to share their stories by visiting the Guildmaster Facebook page, or by visiting the showroom at the C&D Building, Suite 1-A by April 6 during the upcoming High Point Furniture Market.

For its Spring 2014 collection, Guildmaster, Springfield, Mo., will launch pieces with a modern industrial edge, featuring reclaimed woods and metals inspired by travels through Europe, specifically the farmhouses of Scandinavia, Italy and France. Those stories of inspiration will be shared with customers through a new catalog, which chronicles the design origins of select pieces said CEO Steve Crowder.

“This new look for Guildmaster marks the next chapter in ‘Stories Made by Hand’ and we look forward to hearing from buyers how hand crafted Guildmaster pieces have touched their lives,” Crowder said.

“We invite buyers to share their Guildmaster stories with us for an opportunity to win a $1,000 credit toward a future order,” said Margaret Powers, vice president of sales and marketing. “Buyers can enter the contest by submitting a few lines about cherished memories of an event in which a Guildkaster piece played a role. We will review the stories submitted by April 6 and will announce the winner for the best story at 12 noon on Tuesday, April 8, in the Guildmaster showroom.”
