Bekaert Textiles, PPI Merge Operations

Bekaert Textiles USA has merged its operations with Progressive Products Inc. to offer fabric and mattress and pillow protection under one umbrella.
Bekaert acquired PPI in December, 2012.
The company now has an expanded design team to include a specialty cover designer working with the ticking design team. The interactive, collaborative design studio provides the company a hub where innovation and aesthetics come together.
"The merger provides our customers with a single source, all-inclusive cover and design package that saves them time, money, and resources," said Stefan Hoffman, vice president of sales and marketing for Bekaert. He added that the offerings provide customers with concepts, covers and fire retardant solutions that are custom-tailored to their needs.
The Progressive Products team includes a dedicated project manager and a prototype engineering staff that is located on the Bekaert campus in Winston-Salem, N.C.
"As a result of this merger, the added attention to the design details of our covers and the enhanced looks of Bekaert fabrics will give our customers the edge they seek," said Lila Walker, national accounts manager with PPI.
