MicroD Adds Mattress Shopping Solution

E-commerce marketing solutions vendor MicroD is launching a mattress-shopping program it developed in collaboration with leading bedding manufacturers.

MicroD, Charlotte, N.C., wants the solution, which according to the company has already been adopted by dozens of retailer clients, to empower shoppers to make better informed and confident buying decision for bedding.

The "Mattress Shopping Solution" for home furnishings retailers is provided as an add-on to current and new Web sites. The new Web pages and filtering tools deliver content provided by the bedding brands to present the features and benefits of available mattresses, pillows and other bedding accessories. By leveraging these new capabilities on their sites, retailers further empower consumers to intuitively learn about, shop for, and select bedding.

"The new MicroD mattress solution delivers the in-depth information buyers need to make an informed decision in a visually compelling and simple-to-navigate website solution. Dozens of our clients are already using it to enlighten and engage their online visitors.” 

Retailers already using the new MicroD Mattress Solution include Furniture Mall of Kansas in Topeka, Kan.; Talsma Furniture in Hudsonville, Mi.; and Woodstock Furniture Outlet in Acworth, Ga. The online solution features an easy-to-use Mattress Selector Tool that makes it straight forward for shoppers to filter by brand, size, comfort level and availability to identify their most appropriate mattresses. MicroD configures each deployment to feature only those brands that each individual retail client carries.  
The MicroD mattress solution was developed in close cooperation with a number of mattress manufacturers that also furnish and maintain brand-specific descriptions, specifications, images, videos, and other content for online presentation. Because these brands fund their specific web pages, there is no direct charge to qualified website clients for this feature.

Retailers may also include private label mattress brands to the solution at a cost based on specific requirements.
