Sofa Mart, Furniture Row Aid Street Kids

Furniture retailer Sofa Mart and Furniture Row Outlet have donated more $238,000 to aid an estimated 2 million street children in Mexico City.

The charity campaign titled, "Hope Is Always In Style," allocated $20 for every sofa sold from August 26 through Sept. 29. Those proceeds will benefit World Vision's "Ninos de la Calle" (street children) program, which assists in the widespread problem of homeless children in Mexico City.

Specifically designed to enable street children to become more self sufficient and move into a stable environment, the program focuses on providing educational support, shelter, children's homes and family reintegration whenever possible.

Local Council Votes Against Ikea Expansion

Madison House Announces Plan to Employ 85
