The Furniture Training Co. has announced that a contest for sales people subscribed to its Web site.
Each week during January, people who complete at least one interactive training module are automatically entered into that week's prize drawing. Sales people can learn from nearly 100 interactive online training modules that teach furniture product knowledge, sales skills, room design, and telephone and prospecting skills.
One winner will be selected by random drawing each Friday in January from the pool of sales people who have completed an interactive training module during the preceeding week.
Prize awards by week include:
* Week 1: Amazon Kindle E Ink reader with built-in Wi-Fi.
* Week 2: Canon Powershot A2200 14.1 MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Zoom.
* Week 3: $100 Amazon.com gift card.
* Week 4: Kindle Fire color tablet for accessing digital music, video, magazines and books.
The contest is an incentive to motivate furniture sales people to embrace the attitude that successful people train year-round. Salespeople participating in the weekly contest will get in the habit of studying weekly to improve in the knowledge and skills they need to meet confidently every customers needs and to sell more furniture.

Home decor vendor UMA Enterprises has relocated and expanded its World Market Center Las Vegas showroom space.
At almost 17,000 square feet, the new showroom, WMC-C708, will nearly double UMA's presence for the upcoming the Jan. 30-Feb. 3 Gift+Home at Las Vegas Furniture Market.
"Our growth at Gift+Home at Las Vegas Market is extremely exciting and we are looking forward to our new showroom space and location," said Naval Bansal, president and CEO of UMA Enterprises. "Through this expansion, we will be able to present more product to our buyers who attend, as well as use it as an opportunity to attract new buyers to our showroom. We expect even more successes for the upcoming show."
UMA Enterprises products include table top accessories, wall decor, accent furniture, floral accessories, garden items and holiday decor.

Four years of a rough economy, combined with several months of road construction outside their Taylorsville, Utah, store persuaded Gary Riddle and family that it was time to shutter the Furniture Warehouse business.
We are closing forever, said Chief Operating Officer Nicole Hilton, one of Riddles five daughters. The 36-year-old business branded itself in recent years with quirky television ads featuring Riddle and son Grant clowning in cowboy garb and touting store locations on Road Redwood. In addition to its showroom in Taylorsville, Furniture Warehouse also operated an outlet store in West Jordan, Utah.
