Stickley Furniture has bought a former Levitz building in Paramus, N.J., for its first New Jersey showroom.
The Paramus store will be the 15th Stickley retail store in the country and gives the 112-year-old company a continued presence in northern New Jersey as its primary distributor in the area, Bograd's Furniture, prepares to go out of business.

The retailer donated a percentage of sales from Saturday to Amigos for Kids, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect.

Dan Masters has been named to the newly created position of vice president of business development for Furniture Brands International (NYSE: FBN).
In his new position, Masters reports to Ralph Scozzafava, Furniture Brands' chairman and CEO.
"Adding Dan Masters to our executive team will provide the focus and sales strategy essential for success with key accounts, across our brand portfolio," Scozzafava said. "He is a proven industry leader in driving high performance and results. Dan's appointment augments our enterprisewide focus on driving topline sales. He has excellent relationships with retailers. In his role at Furniture Brands, we will benefit from his network, his vast furniture expertise and experience. He will be a key contributor to us meeting our sales goals."
Most recently, Masters was president of Hekman Furniture Co. Prior to that, he held various positions with increasing responsibility in general management and sales at Riverside Furniture, Flexsteel Inds. and Richardson Brothers.
