Tenants Renew in Las Vegas

World Market Center Las Vegas announced that 22 tenants have signed long-term, permanent leases in time for next week's Summer Las Vegas Furniture Market.

In total new tenants will occupy 250,000 square feet of space and will be located throughout World Market Center€™s three contiguous buildings.

Newly signed permanent leaseholders at World Market Center Las Vegas include upholstered furniture manufacturer United Furniture Inds., which was created in early 2000 through the merger and acquisition of three established companies--Comfort Furniture, Parkhill Furniture and United Chair. United Furniture will occupy a 21,332-square-foot showroom in Building B, Suite 1380, doubling its original space. HTL International, a manufacturer of leather sofas and leather upholstery hides, will occupy a 15,223-square-foot showroom in Building B, Suite 900.

Among the established leading brands that have renewed permanent leases on their existing showrooms at WMC are Furniture Brands International companies Lane Furniture and Broyhill Furniture, as well as Magnussen Home Furnishings, Powell Co. and many others.

Other manufacturers that have recently renewed their commitment to World Market Center Las Vegas with long-term leases include: Benchmaster, Corsicana, Palliser, Intercon, Albany, Eleanor Rigby, Fine Home, Horizon Home, Lazar, Meifeng, Michael Nicholas Design, Pinestone, Planum, Sigla, FocusOne Home, Next Door, Atlantic Inc. and Kian.

Comfort Solutions Hosts Grand Opening

Mattress vendor Comfort Solutions reported 100 mattress retailers among 300 guests at June's grand opening of its Ft. Worth, Texas, manufacturing/office complex.

The three-day event, which also featured Comfort Solutions corporate executives, Ft. Worth city officials, suppliers and employees, €œwas a tremendous success,€ said Rizwan Sunderji, company senior vice president. €œOn behalf of my entire family, I want to especially thank our retail partners and suppliers for their contributions and support.€
 
The grand opening celebration of the modern, 200,000-square-foot facility in Centreport Industrial Park included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, new product presentations, factory tours, retailer education sessions, a gala party and dinner, plus a retailer raffle.

The Comfort Solutions-Texas licensee was founded as Sleeptronic by the Sunderji family more than 20 years ago. The new complex has an output of up to 4,000 pieces per day and replaces the company€™s former 50,000-square-foot factory in Dallas.

A global mattress brand, Comfort Solutions is a Top 10 U.S. mattress producer and has 38 international licensees serving more than 80 countries. Under its new €œNever Stop Dreaming€ brand banner, the company markets multiple sleep collections including iMattress, Laura Ashley and The Dr. Breus Bed, in addition to King Koil and Extended Life innerspring products.

Retailer Resource Center Features 30-Plus Service Providers

The Retailer Resource Center in C-496 of World Market Center Las Vegas will host more than 30 service providers at next week's Las Vegas Furniture Market.

The Western Home Furnishings Association and National Home Furnishings Association invite buyers to start their Market day there with a hot waffle breakfast(Monday-Thursday, 7:30-9:00 a.m.), sponsored by Surya Rugs; and avoid long shuttle and garage lines at day's end with Stay and Play, enjoying beer on tap and shuffleboard (Monday-Wednesday, 4 p.m.), sponsored by Diakon Logistics.

Buyers will have access to a wide array of vendors displaying their products and services in the expanded Retailer Resource Center.
