Chad Hendricks had a clear picture in his mind of how his Boyles Distinctive Furniture outlet in Mooresville, N.C., would look. Shoppers enter through the main warehouse doors and file down a single aisle. Every 15 feet or so, theyre looking at different sections that include furniture by Tommy Bahama or Paula Deen. Near the front, theres a Coastal Living parcel.
Its what Hendricks calls his Street of Dreams.
We want to provide our customers with a wonderful experience from the beginning to the final delivery, Hendricks said.

Bakersfield arson investigators have seized the cell phone records of a furniture store owner they suspect burned down his business to defraud his insurance company, records filed in court show.
On June 26, the business, Home Decor Furniture, burned to what firefighters described at the time to be "a total loss." The damage to the 40,000-square-foot property at 2501 Union Ave. was estimated to be $3 million.
