Fort Worth-based furniture retailer Sams Furniture & Appliance will open a second retail/lease-to-own store in Irving, Texas.
In addition to offering new, quality retail merchandise for sale, Sam's has pioneered an innovative lease program that makes it more affordable for customers to own great quality furniture, appliances, and mattresses--all while helping customers establish credit.
Our customers have been asking us to expand our service area further east, and were looking forward to bring the special Sams courtesy and quality to even more customers, said Seth Weisblatt, third-generation owner. This is a great opportunity for more people in the Metroplex to afford the furniture and appliances they want and need in their lives, all while helping them build better credit every month.
Sams has leased 20,192-square-feet of retail space in Plymouth Park South Shopping Center, located at 1735 N. Story Road, for a new location. Sams will continue to operate their retail location in Haltom City, which is at 5050 E. Belknap Road.
Michelle Caplan with the Commercial Retail Division of The Weitzman Group handled negotiations for Sams.
Since 1946, Sams Appliances & Furniture has offered home furnishings, appliances and mattresses in Fort Worth, Arlington, Dallas, Irving and other Metroplex cities.

Home furnishings retailer Burlington Furniture Co., Burlington, Vt., will donate 1 percent of sales from its Home for the Holidays Sale to Hurricane Sandy victims.
As many of the staff at Burlington Furniture Co. are originally from the Long Island, N.Y., area and still have family residing there, they know first hand the devastation that Sandy brought to the area.
"We are a company with a conscience and a dual bottom line" said Christine Kelsey, vice president. "The Sale runs through Christmas, and all ads will have in the banner: '1% of Sales will be donated to victims of Hurricane Sandy.' While one small store itself cannot make a big difference, the efforts of many can."
