Rowland Branham has joined furniture shipping specialist Watkins & Shepard Trucking as the companys newest regional sales manager.
Branham is responsible for business development in the Mid-Atlantic and southeastern regions of the United States for Watkins & Shepard, Helena, Mt. Branham is based at the companys terminal facility in Conover, N.C.

"Rowland brings a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge to the table that will help our clients prosper as we continue to expand our role as the leading provider of transportation to the home furnishings industry with our furniture and carpet distribution programs. Branham joins Watkins & Shepard with more than 25 years experience in furniture and home furnishings supply chain management that encompassed all aspects of the logistics business.

AmericasMart Atlanta has recognized the best of the best in area rugs at Americas Magnificent Carpets Awards.
The ceremony is the centerpiece of the Atlanta International Area Rug Market featuring the National Oriental Rug Show, which ran Jan. 10-13, with Temporaries also Jan. 10-13. The Market runs in conjunction with the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market. The National Oriental Rug Show is staged in an exclusive partnership with the Oriental Rug Importers Association.
The area rug winners, which were selected from the Museum of Introductions gallery by an independent panel of experts, were announced and presented by AmericasMart at a gala at The Georgia Aquarium on Friday night. As part of the industry recognition, AmericasMart honored three of the top retailers in the country for overall excellence in sales, service and innovation.
The 2013 winners:
