Full-line furniture vendor Lexington Home Brands will double its Las Vegas Furniture Market showroom presence at World Market Center Las Vegas.
Lexington is relocating from its current showrooms in Building C to an expansive area in Building B encompassing the front half of the fifth floor. Lexington will complete the move in time to unveil its new portfolio of showrooms at the Jan. 28-31. A grand opening party is planned for buyers on Monday evening Jan. 28, 5-7 p.m., with live entertainment, drinks and hors doeuvres.
The Las Vegas Market has proven highly effective as a marketing and selling venue for us, said Phil Haney, president and CEO of Lexington Home Brands. Dealers anddesigners love to attend and buy at this Market. We made a decision five years ago to aggressively embrace Las Vegas by presenting our brands and lifestyle message at the World Market Center. It has proven an exceptional business decision, contributing to our significant growth over the last several years. We are committed to presenting our brands in both High Point and Las Vegas because it serves the needs of our retail partners.
The totally redesigned area on the fifth floor of Building B will cover roughly 50,000 square feet, incorporating the large glass atrium at the front of the building with sweeping mountain views to the north. The hallway configuration has been modified to accommodate the scale of Lexingtons presentation, with the portfolio of showrooms being designated as space B-500.
An elite group of marquee players set the tone at the World Market Center Las Vegas, said Bob Maricich, CEO of International Market Centers, the worlds largest owners and operators of furniture showrooms in High Point and Las Vegas. Lexington is one of those players. They invest aggressively to create spectacular showrooms for our buyers, introduce innovative new collections every season and market their brands with a passion that few can match. Ultimately, our buyers respond to manufacturers who demonstrate leadership in design and a vision for connecting with consumers. Lexington executes on both counts without compromise. Their decision to expand further validates our intent to create world-class venues in both High Point and Las Vegas. We couldnt be more pleased.
The January 2013 Market will also mark the West Coast debut of the new Tommy Bahama Outdoor Living brand, comprised of eight lifestyle collections and more than 150 unique and sophisticated designs. Lexington has designated a stand-alone showroom for the presentation of their Outdoor Living product, highlighting the importance of this rapidly growing category. The company is incorporating the Tommy Bahama Outdoor Living brand into their showrooms in both High Point and Las Vegas, but see the Las Vegas Market as becoming a go-to destination for outdoor and casual living buyers.
We are excited about expanding our footprint in Las Vegas, continued Haney. It is our intention to put ourselves in front of buyers as regularly as possible, offering them great product, inspiring presentations and marketing programs that resonate with their consumers. We look forward to unveiling our new portfolio of showrooms on Jan. 28 and entertaining our buyers that evening.
