Furniture and electric fireplace vendor Twin-Star International has named Peter Ormond director of Canadian business.
Ormond reports to Andrew Bandremer, senior vice president of Twin-Star International, Delray Beach, Fla.
We are very pleased to have Peter join our team, said Bandremer. Peters 26 years of experience in the sales, marketing and business development fields makes him perfect for directing and managing Twin-Star Internationals Canadian sales efforts. I am sure that he will prove to be invaluable in growing our business in the Canadian market within the home furnishings channel.
Ormond was the trade program development manager for Nabisco and director of customer marketing for Congra Foods before becoming the vice president of business development for Greenway Home Products. He is based in Ontario.

Whole-home furniture vendor Primo International is moving its Las Vegas Furniture Market showroom to C-1412 in World Market Center for the Jan. 28-Feb. 1 show.
he company had been showing in a similar, 18,000-square-foot space two floors lower in space C-1212 prior to the upcoming market.
In this new location, Primo International will enhance its product presentation to include more group settings and accessories, giving retailers "a better sense for how our products will look in their stores," said John DeFalco, senior executive vice president. "We're also freshening up the entire showroom with new paint, lighting and an inviting new entrance design. And we're adding an entertainment area where our customers can gather to relax, trade notes and enjoy a meal or a drink."
DeFalco said Primo will serve a homemade Italian lunch every day in the new space.

The Western Home Furnishings and National Home Furnishings associations sponsor the RCC, in space C-496 of World Market Center Las Vegas, which hosts more than 30 business services providers for furniture retailers.
Buyers are invited to start their day with a hot waffle breakfast (Monday-Thursday of Market, 7:30-9 a.m.); and avoid the long shuttle and garage lines with Stay and Play, enjoying beer on tap and shuffleboard (Monday-Thursday, 4 p.m.), sponsored by Diakon Logistics, before they hit the Las Vegas Strip.
Buyers will have access to a wide array of vendors displaying their products and services in the expanded Retailer Resource Center. The ARTS Awards is the premier awards program for the home industry and is held each January during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market.
This year, Dwell with Dignity was honored with the inaugural Visionary Award that recognizes industry innovation and excellence qualities best represented by the nonprofit group for its tremendous contribution to help families and communities as well as its inspirational impact on the design and home industries.
