A High Point showroom is creating a dual use and will serve as a retail venue during the year when the spring and fall market is not in town.
Elm Street Pavilion, located at the corner of Green and South Elm streets, will serve as a temporary showroom during the High Point Market. The 12,000-square-foot space has an on-site showroom manager to show and sell product to customers during market and during off-market times.
The building is also available for year-round use as corporate offices and has a 6,000-square-foot parking lot.
Between market cycles, the retail store is open to the public three days a weekThursday afternoons and all day Friday and Saturday. It is also open by appointment.
Our goal is for our multi-function market showroom to yield lower operational costs and higher sale turns by serving as more than a market showroom, said Stanford Ray, showroom manager for Elm Street Pavilion. Our in-house ability to receive, store, repair, repack, and ship market samples 12-months a year is unprecedented in the Triad. With business being off and costs rising, we seek to help our city and its tenants by offering more at lower cost.
