Moosehead Furniture Co. Closed; On Auction Block

Case goods producer Moosehead Furniture Co., Monson, Maine, has been put up for auction by the manufacturer's primary lender, Machias Savings Bank, according to a report in the Bangor Daily News.

The bank, the lender of the Tardy-Connors Group, LLC, which in September 2007 snagged the company from an auction placed the company's property and equipment for auction with Keenan Auction Co.

The auction company is accepting sealed bids on the property, equipment, vehicles and the Moosehead name until Jan. 21.

The company owners stop production about few months ago and dismissed between 30 and 40 employees.
