Dovetail Alliance, Retailers Processing Network Provide Credit Option for Retailers

By Home Furnishings Business in Furniture Retailing on May 11, 2010 Home furnishings retailers are freeing up large amounts of cash for business operations with Retailers Processing Network (RPN), the credit card processor for the Dovetail Alliance.

Many home furnishings retailers have been required by processors to establish cash reserves€”of 15 percent to as much as 25 percent of monthly credit card volume€”to insulate the processing bank against charge backs and other potential costs. The newly available RPN processing service improves a retailer€™s cash flow by reducing reserves to a lower, minimum level, said James Hallan, RPN president and CEO. In addition, Hallan said, RPN is a no hidden fees service, which can provide further savings of thousands of dollars each month for home furnishings retailers.

€œWe understand the needs of the home furnishings industry, especially the problems that large reserves create in this tight-credit economy,€ Hallan said. €œThat€™s why our processing solutions can minimize reserves and free up cash for new inventory, store improvements and other business needs.€

Dovetail CEO Ed Borowsky said the savings the RPN solution provides is an excellent example of how Dovetail Alliance works with the home furnishings industry to help reduce costs and improve operations.

€œDovetail€™s mission is to provide a wide range of expert, innovative solutions through our alliance of industry-leading companies and consultants,€ he said.

Retailers Processing Network is one of the nation€™s largest and most experienced independent processors of transactions involving credit card, debit card, gift card, online and other forms of electronic payments.

Dovetail Alliance is a one-stop resource dedicated to improving the performance of home furnishings retail and manufacturing operations and understands the U.S. and Canadian markets.

MVC Agency Launches Re-Vamped Furniture Branding Web Site

By Home Furnishings Business in Advertising on May 11, 2010

Los Angeles-based marketing company MVC Agency has launched a completely re-branded and re-designed Furniture Branding Web site.

Furniture Branding was launched earlier this year as a sub-site of MVC Agency's main site. Now, as an independent industry specific Web site for the agency's home furnishings client base, Furniture Branding is now more visually aesthetic with more relevant and informative content as well as easier navigation.

President and Owner Jason Pires developed the site to provide clients a way to work with companies who have knowledge as well as experience in their field and who understand their current situation. Furniture industry designers and manufacturers can now use MVC Agency as a portal to help them create and construct their branding and image.

"The aim of Furniture Branding is exactly that, to give companies a distinct position, an identity, a presence in their market and a real reason for being, especially for those who are willing to embrace the circumstances of constantly changing environments with a fresh but specialist perspective, Pires said.

MVC Agency has successfully created innovative re-branding and positioning campaigns for several furniture clients such as Italmond, D'Oro and Armen Living.
