Fine Cotton Factory adds Siegel, Austin to sales team

Textile manufacturer Fine Cotton Factory has added territory managers Bob Siegel and James Austin to its sales team.

Siegel represents the company in the Northeast U.S., while Austin is covering the East Coast of Canada.

The company said Teresa Lynn continues on the West Coast of the United States; Doug Owens continues to be based in North Carolina; and Ray Brewer manages Quebec.

Each of the sales representatives are charged with rolling out Fine Cotton Factory’s range of products, including its latest CuTEC, a copper-infused yarn, and Slayer, a single-layer FR solution for latex mattresses.

“The addition of our two newest seasoned sales professionals will firmly set Fine Cotton Factory on a solid growth path,” said Skip Kann, Director of Special Projects and Business Development. “We have a lot of excitement building around our new product initiatives, and our sales team is able to tout the breadth and benefits of our offerings.”

Siegel boasts more than 50 years experience as an industry sales representative for a number of companies, including Webster Spring Co., Value Ticking Co., Hoover Spring Co., and Four Seasons Stitching and Mountain Top Foam. He lives in Hudson, N.Y., with his wife and enjoys coaching youth basketball and baseball. Siegel is also a certified baseball umpire.

Lynn continues to manage sales for Fine Cotton Factory on the West Coast, as she has done for the last two years. She has 10 years industry experience, including seven years working with Deslee and two years with Bayeux Cortina working with flame retardant fabrics. Lynn lives in Los Angeles.

Austin started his career in textile sales with Bill Mee Sales Agency selling fabric in 1972. Since then, he has held a number of positions with a variety of fabric and yarn suppliers. Austin lives in Amherst, Nova Scotia, with his wife.

Owens began his career with Culp, went on to be national accounts manager at Tietex for 23 years, and continues in the Southern U.S. territory, and serves on national accounts for Fine Cotton.

Brewer represents Fine Cotton Factory in Quebec. Prior to joining the company last year, Brewer was a sales agent and importer of fabrics and apparel with Ubitex. Before joining Ubitex, he was a sales representative for the outerwear division of Consoltex, a uniform apparel company. Brewer lives in Montreal.

Headquartered in Toronto, Fine Cotton Factory produces numerous fabrics ranging from jersey and fleece to jacquards in eco-friendly knits serving leading brands and manufacturers in Canada and the U.S.
