Ashley Furniture Homestore Opening in Manchester, Conn.

The Manchester HomeStore is locally owned and operated by Sami Abunasra, a businessman who moved from North New Jersey to Manchester to open the store with his brother, Nazeeh.

“I realized I was wasting time and effort in corporate America,” Sami Abunasra said. “I wanted a challenge on a larger scale.”

After completing his MBA at Columbia University in 2011, Abunasra searched for a couple years to find the right business challenge and selected the opportunity to own an Ashley Furniture Homestore.

“I found Ashley to be a good partner and decided to pursue it,” he said. 

A ribbon cutting and Grand Opening ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday to celebrate adding the Manchester store to the expanding network of Ashley Furniture HomeStores in the United States. The Manchester Homestore has 25,000 square feet facility and is located across from the Buckland Hills Walmart and next to the Buckland Hills mall.
