Twin-Star Launches Volunteer Program

Twin-Star VolunteersTwin-Star International has launched a volunteer program that gives employees up to eight hours of paid time off per year to perform volunteer service for a Twin-Star approved charity.

“It is our responsibility as a good corporate citizen to help strengthen the communities in which we work and live,” said Twin-Star International Vice President of Corporate Operations Denise Kantrowitz. “We encourage our staff to become involved in their communities by lending their voluntary support to programs that enrich the quality of life and opportunities for all citizens. Our new Volunteer Program will not only provide support for the community but will also foster employee collaboration and team building, enrich their lives and impact the morale and culture of Twin-Star in a very positive way.”

Recently Twin-Star, Delray Beach, Fla., celebrated October’s Fire Safety Month by having their employees organize a Fire Safety Day at the Milagro Center, an arts and education school for children in Delray Beach. Twin-Star partnered with the firefighters at Delray Beach Fire Department who taught fire safety tips and demonstrated their fire equipment for the students. Twin-Star volunteers helped the children color and build brown paper bag fireplaces as they talked about fireplace safety. Twin-Star also sponsored a fire safety tips coloring contest through the school and their Facebook page. From the entries, one Facebook winner and five winners from the Milagro Center each won a $50 American Express gift card.
