Baer's to Open Store in West Melbourne, Fla.

Home furnishings retailer Baer's will open its newest store tomorrow in West Melbourne, Fla. The 100,000-square-foot store is the retailer's 15th location in the state.
The most recent recession and the housing bust claimed many casualties, from individuals to well-known businesses.
Furniture retailers certainly were among the fallen.
But Baer’s Quality Furniture and Interior Design, headquartered in Pompano Beach, was not on that list. And that’s a source of pride for Robert “Bobby” Baer, the chief executive officer of the 68-year-old furniture retail operation.
Baer’s opens its newest store, a 100,000-square-foot showroom at 4260 W. New Haven Ave., West Melbourne, on Thursday.
“We’ve been looking in the area for a long time because it’s a fabulous place to live and retire to,” Baer said. “We know that our customers want to buy furniture at the right price, and we had the opportunity to pick up a large building at a reasonable price and show the largest selection in all of southeast Florida.”
