Zenith Expands Humidity Controlled Vietnam Warehousing

The move is in response to increased demand for humidity controlled warehousing.

“Vietnam has continued to be a key geographic market for furniture sourcing as a result of continued labor shortages in China,” said Jack Hawn, president and CEO of Zenith Global Logistics. “We’ve had increasing numbers of customers come to us with a need for humidity-controlled storage. Because of the ambient climate in the region, controlling moisture levels is critical to prevent mold growth and warping of wood.”

The new bonded warehouse space has 7,500 square meters, and is located in the Bình Dương Province, a growing manufacturing region for furniture. The distribution center offers high clearance with specialized racking designed specifically for home furnishings. Currently the facility has capacity for new customers, with the ability to expand based on each customer’s unique volume needs. The Ho Chi Minh City distribution center houses freight destined for Zenith Global Logistics’ U.S. network, including its freight hubs in California, North Carolina, and Texas, as well as direct-to-customer locations.

Zenith Global's strategic growth initiatives over the past several years include the opening of regional hubs throughout the U.S., including Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas, Tupelo, Miss., and West Palm Beach, Fla.

Most recently, the company relocated and expanded its Baltimore hub by 300 percent, adding a full-service distribution center to that location’s existing freight capabilities. The firm also boosted its North Carolina storage and handling capacity by more than 30 percent when it acquired the former Boyles Furniture facility in Conover.
