Cardis Honored for Public Service

Nick, Ron and Pete Cardi of Cardi's Furniture were honored by the Rhode Island Secretary of State for their philanthropic work and for working with voter registration campaigns.
Secretary of State A. Ralph Mollis is presenting the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) Medallion Award to Nick, Ron and Pete Cardi of Cardi's Furniture today at Meeting Street School.
The award is presented to the Cardi brothers for their service and dedication to furthering the mission of the association through voter education and participation and philanthropic contributions, Mollis said in a news release.
Mollis cited the Cardis for the following accomplishments, among others: participating in a voter registration campaigns, using advertising to encourage voter turnout, hosting polling places at their flagship store during last year's primary and general elections and supporting organizations that provide clothes for needy children, fight hunger and promote literacy.
