Tilley Named Councill CEO

Longtime industry veteran Tom Tilley has been named CEO of Councill,  a subsidiary of Hancock & Moore. Tilley succeeds Carlton Mallory, who retired at the end of June with case goods and upholstery supplier Councill.

Tom Tilley, a furniture industry veteran who formerly served as the president of Thomasville Furniture and Henredon, is the new CEO of Councill, which is a subsidiary of Hancock & Moore, a privately owned company in Hickory that specializes in custom leather upholstery.

Tilley takes over from Carlton Mallory, who retired at the end of June after a decade at the helm of the high-end casegoods and upholstery manufacturer.
