2014 City of Hope Honorees Set

The City of Hope National Home Furnishings Chapter kicked off its 2014 year during the High Point Market by naming its Spirit of Life honorees.
The organization that raises money for cancer, HIV and diabetes research at Duarte, Calif.-based City of Hope will honor the Baer Family of Baer's Furniture, Pompano Beach, Fla., and Alan Cole, president of Hooker Furniture at the annual Spirit of Life Dinner in High Point April 6.
George Tsai and Jason Liu of Fairmont Designs will be the honorees for the organization's annual West Coast Golf and Tennis Tournament at Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club, Coto de Caza, Calif., on June 9.
During the reception recognizing the honorees, the industry took time to celebrate the life of Roger Murray, longtime Simmons Co. executive and past chairman of the National Home Furnishings Chapter for City of Hope. Murray died earlier this year.
