Bedding supplier Restonic has named Julia Rosien brand engineer for the company.
In the new position, Rosien reports to Ron Passaglia, president of Restonic.
Rosien’s career path includes her serving as former communications director for Natura. Prior to that, Rosien was a senior editor of a national pregnancy magazine as well as writer and editor to a number of print and digital consumer-focused newspapers and magazines.
Rosien is the 2013 chair of the board for WithIt and has also served on the boards of the Better Sleep Council and WPT (Women Powering Technology). She has been cited as one of most influential women in social media, having most recently served as the digital voice of Dr. Breus’ Dream Team, GoGirlfriend, SocialNorth and the Women in Biz Network.
“I’m thrilled to be joining such a respected and trusted company in the mattress industry,” Rosien said. “The Restonic family has been supporting dreams for nearly a century and joining forces will launch them into a position to seize new and evolving opportunities on their horizon.”
Rosien joins Restonic Nov. 1 but has begun planning and organizing with the leadership team and will be at High Point Market www.highpointmarket.org later this month. Plans for Restonic include the launch of a newly designed Web site, corporate blog and innovative, consumer-focused new media outreach.
“Julia’s dynamic and creative approach to marketing and social media has cultivated thriving on-line communities that reach deep within our industry,” Passaglia said. “She’s incredibly detail-oriented, a team leader and navigates everything she does with a strong sense of integrity—must-have strengths that we’re confident will play a critical role helping Restonic provide value to licensees and their customers.”
