Taylor's Furniture Consolidating Two Stores

Taylor’s Furniture & Appliance plans to consolidate its two Amarillo stores into one location by early 2014. The retailer will close its store at 919 S. Polk St. and solely operate from its space at 4559 S. Western St., owner Scott Taylor said.

Changing demographics of its downtown customer base in a tight economy led to the decision to merge the stores, as did future potential for leasing the 37,000-square-foot building on Polk at South 10th Avenue, Taylor said.
