Keno Brothers Show to Hunt for "Treasure"

Leigh and Leslie KenoKeno Treasure will travel the country hunting for hidden gems in people’s homes on their series “Buried Treasure.”

The show, originally airing on Fox, now appears on CNBC Network, Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. eastern, Sept. 17-Oct. 8.

Using their expertise and technology to determine authenticity and condition, the twins, who developed a furniture collection with Theodore Alexander will reveal each item’s estimated auction value and give the family a chance to sell. In some instances, the Kenos will bring the items to some of the world’s top buyers.

From a first edition Superman comic book to a rare 1922 Mercer Race-about, to an Ebay-purchased Rembrandt etching to a 2,000-year-old bronze Roman bowl to actual buried gold, the Kenos dig through the homes of ordinary people across the country, helping many out of financial troubles, by uncovering, appraising and selling the items they’ve discovered.

“We don’t really look at this as an antiques show because every episode is a true treasure hunt,” show executive producer Tim Miller said. “Everybody has at least one item in their house that they’re curious about the value of.”

“Right now, a lot of people in America need cash, and we’re helping them find it in their own homes,” said Leigh Keno.

“We’re transforming lives with every treasure we find,” Leslie Keno added.

ITV America produces the show with Miller (of Big Chief Entertainment), Joe Livecchi, Paul Buccieri, Tim Eagan and the Kenos as executive producers.

The Keno brothers' line at Theodore Alexander includes more than 100 individual pieces, ranging in style from 18th-century classics to 20th-century modern adaptations. The collection utilizes nearly 20 species of woods, including mahogany, ebony, sycamore, tiger maple and rosewood.
