Carl's Furniture City is closing and a going-out-of-business sale starts in both locations on Thursday.
The owner, Carl Vogel, has decided to close his stores at 801 Wager St. in Utica and 1851 State St. in Watertown to pursue other business ventures. The potential impact of the North-South Arterial replacement project in Utica store played a role the decision, Vogel said
