Surya Names Meredith VP of Product Development

In her new role, Meredith will manage design and product development for Calhoun, Ga.-based Surya’s expansive range of rugs, as well as for the company’s growing home accessories offerings, including pillows, poufs, throws, art and accent furniture.

Meredith has spent 25 years designing and overseeing global sourcing and overseas manufacturing processes within the fashion and home textiles markets. Prior to joining Surya, she served in leadership roles within design and development for global companies such as Trade AM International and Kingfisher Group, during which time she traveled extensively in India and China.

“Lynne brings a wealth of knowledge and industry expertise to our company,” said Satya Tiwari, president if Surya. “Her in-depth understanding of textile and rug construction, along with a highly refined sense of color, texture and pattern and ability to anticipate design trends, will enable us to offer even more innovative and fashion-forward products to meet the needs of our customers.”

Surya has been increasing significantly its investment in product development. In the past year alone, the company expanded its rug designs from 2,000 to 4,000 while also launching a new accent furniture collection.
