Toms Promoted to GM at Joss & Main

Paul TomsOnline home furnishings private-sale site Joss & Main has promoted Paul Toms to general manager. In his new role, Toms will lead day-to-day operations and drive Joss & Main’s growth strategy in the rapidly evolving flash-sale market. Currently, Joss & Main operates at a $200 million run rate with more than 5 million members.

Prior to his promotion, Toms served as senior director of marketing for Joss & Main--a part of online home furnishings retailer, Boston, Mass.--leading member acquisition, member engagement and product development.

“Paul has been instrumental in building Joss & Main’s membership to more than 5 million in just two and a half years,” said John Mulliken , SVP of strategic initiatives for, and founder and former general manager of Joss & Main. “As we stake out our position as the number one private-sale site in the home space, putting someone with Paul’s capabilities in this leadership role sets us up to take on new business opportunities and drive our brand forward.”

Before joining Joss & Main, Toms spent five years at developing core business units in analytics, digital advertising and customer segmentation. In 2012, he was chosen as a member of the MITX Feature Leaders Group, spotlighting him as an up-and-coming leader based on his leadership skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and early impact on the Massachusetts innovation economy.

Joss & Main offers limited-time sales on furniture, housewares, décor accents, lifestyle accessories and gifts; and has introduced collections recently with Zoe Saldana, Courteney Cox, Orlando Bloom and Bridget Moynahan among other celebrities and chefs.
