Tri-State HFA Names Maricich Person of the Year
Maricich, CEO of International Market Centers, will be guest speaker the group's annual awards dinner, Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Crowne Plaza-Philadelphia West in Philadelphia, Pa. Cocktails start at 6:30 p.m.; and dinner, awards and guest speaker follow at 7:30.
The association honored Maricich for his work in envisioning and developing the strategy to combine World Market Center Las Vegas and major High Point showroom properties under IM Centers; and raising more than $1 billion to fund the purchase of the High Point properties.
Various local awards also will be presented during the awards dinner including Retailer and Representative of the Year, and a Congeniality Award. Committee-chosen awards include Display and Advertising, as well as Senior Service and Youth Recognition.
Occasionally, an individual has gone above and beyond and is presented Tri-State’s Humanitarian Award. This year's recipient, Ken Gilberg, is deeply involved and dedicated to the Golden Slipper Club, a non-profit serving the needs of Philadelphia’s youth, needy and elderly. Ken serves as Tri-State HFA’s preferred counsel.
Tri-State’s highest honor is the Hall of Fame. This year’s recipient, Ed Myers, is a past president of TSHFA and the International Home Furnishings Representatives Association. He continues to serve IHFRA as financial advisor and has remained active on Tri-State HFA’s board of directors.

Tri-State HFA membership encompasses retailers, manufacturers’ representatives, some manufacturers and others in allied industries relating to home furnishings. The majority of TSHFA members reside or work in eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware.
