Jerome's Furniture Names 2 Business Services Execs

Pam FettuPam Fettu  has joined Jerome's Furniture as vice president of human resources; and Aimee Lumbo  has been promoted to director of finance.

The moves are part of a restructuring of the San Diego-based retailer's business services team to better serve customers and inspire employees.

"We believe very strongly that good people are the key to success at Jerome's Furniture," said CEO and President Lee Goodman. "In today's world, the position of VP of human resources is critical. We have honored that theory with the hiring of an HR rock star like Pam Fettu."

Fettu comes to Jerome’s from the La Jolla Institute. She brings 20 years of experience, which includes 13 years at the retail software company Escalate Inc. Her specialized focus on corporate wellness programs, leadership development, and superior employee programs align with the Jerome's mission. Fettu believes in creating a company with inspired, empowered colleagues, which is critical as Jerome's continues to expand its locations and reach.

Fettu's philosophy on HR is to stay focused on the whole person: “When people are passionate about their work and are valued for their contributions they are healthier and happier, and the company is stronger and faster,” she said.

Goodman said Lumbo's promotion is an "example of hard work intersecting with opportunity. We are fortunate to have her skills and passion on our team. We are excited about her role in the growth of our company."

Lumbo replaces former CFO Paul Sanford, who has left the company. She started with Jerome's when she was 18 as a temporary worker in the delivery department. She worked her way up through the company including getting her BS in Accounting while working full-time. Lumbo has served as the Controller since 2008.

Jerome's currently has eight stores in Southern California and recently announced an expansion into the Los Angeles area with a store opening fourth quarter in Torrance, Calif.
