Home furnishings retailer Living Spaces will open its newest location-the first store outside of its home base of California-in Scottsdale, Ariz., next week.
The new 130,000-square-foot store will open Aug. 8 in the Promenade shopping center that also houses Nordstrom Rack, Trader Joe's, Lowe's and other high-traffic retailers. Living Spaces is taking over a space formerly occupied by The Great Outdoors.
As a new member of the greater Phoenix community, the retailer said the anew store will create more than 150 jobs. In addition, this latest Living Spaces showroom has incorporated a number of eco-friendly features, including energy-saving LED lighting throughout the store, integrated power management systems and advanced temperature control monitors to provide maximum comfort to our guests while doing our part towards energy conservation. While some of the building's features from its period as The Great Indoors have been retained, nearly all of the demolition materials from construction have been recycled for future use on other projects.
