Comfort Sleep will begin making and selling mattresses and box springs under the Therapedic name effective Aug. 1.
Founded five years ago, Comfort Sleep manufactures its own line of mattresses and pillows. Specializing in zoned mattresses featuring both bonnell and pocket coils, Comfort Sleep produces its own springs under the name Mattress Springs. The company carries a large customer base and has an affiliate company, Escaross Textiles, that has supplied textiles to the furniture industry in the Middle East for more than 50 years.
"We have seen exponential growth abroad over the last year," said Gerry Borreggine, president and CEO of Therapedic. "As we continue to expand, we seek to form strategic partnerships with companies that not only enhance our bottom line, but also share our vision for building an internationally respected brand. In teaming up with Comfort Sleep, we have found a partner that has the same mission as us: providing customers with high quality products at value prices. Right now, Egypt is an underserved market that's craving high-quality beds, and Therapedic is well positioned to make an impact in the region."
Therapedic currently has licensees on six continents, in locations including: Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Trinidad, Jamaica, Ecuador, Ireland, Korea, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Jordan, Turkey, Morocco, New Zealand, Australia and China.
"We are delighted to partner with Therapedic," said Comfort Sleep CEO Sam Escaross. "The Therapedic name is a well-known and well-respected brand in the Middle East. We believe that partnering with such a recognized American mattress name will significantly impact our business here in Egypt."
