Hooker Furniture, Hooker Brands’ Drive 9% Sales Gain

Hooker Furniture (NASDAQ: HOFT) has reported consolidated net sales of $171.5 million, an increase of $13.5 million, or 8.6% compared to a year ago, for its fiscal 2019 third quarter ended October 28, 2018.
Net income increased $2.1 million, or 29.6%, to $9.3 million, or $0.79 per diluted share versus the prior year period.
“Revenues increased across all three of our business segments during the quarter, with Hooker Branded achieving a 9% sales gain,” said Paul B. Toms, chairman and CEO. “The efforts we’ve made to focus on winning channels of distribution are benefiting all segments of our business.”
