Ruby-Gordon, a family-owned retailer founded in Rochester, N.Y., in 1936, has partnered with three local charities during the month of December; Lollypop Farm, Flower City Habitat for Humanity, and Golisano Children’s Hospital.
"Supporting our local community has always been a big part of our mission here at Ruby-Gordon," said Aaron Ruby, president. "And this year I'm really excited we are taking that mission to the next level by supporting these three great organizations."
All month long a portion of every purchase made at all Ruby-Gordon locations will be donated to the organization of the customer's choice. The company anticipates that this will be a very successful fundraiser and is expecting a lot of support from the community during this month long event.
"Flower City Habitat for Humanity and our Habitat ReStore's are proud of the five-year partnership we have built through the generous support of Ruby-Gordon," said Dan Petronio. "We are further gratified to be sharing in this Holiday initiative as we continue together to build homeownership, communities and hope within Monroe County."
Meghan Barnhardt, associate director of community affairs for Golisano Children's Hospital said, "We are looking forward to partnering with Ruby-Gordon on this fundraiser and are so appreciative of their support and desire to give back to the Golisano Children's Hospital this holiday season."
