Diversified manufacturer Leggett & Platt (NYSE: LEG) has announced the retirement of Matthew C. Flanigan, EVP and chief financial officer since 2003.
A specific date for Flanigan’s retirement has not been set, and he has indicated he is willing to continue serving as CFO until a successor has been hired and through a reasonable transition period. The company plans to begin a search to replace Flanigan.
Flanigan will also be retiring as a director of the company to be effective concurrent with his retirement as an officer. He has served as a director since 2010.
“I want to thank Matt for his many contributions to the success of Leggett & Platt,” said Karl G. Glassman, president and CEO. “Matt has been an outstanding CFO, having served as CFO for approximately 15 years. He will be greatly missed, but we wish him well in his retirement.”
