Direct-to-consumer mattress producer Tomorrow Sleep has paired with Good360 to provide mattresses to families impacted by Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. To date, Tomorrow Sleep has donated over 1450 mattresses to families in need.
"The effects of Irma and Maria are still felt in Puerto Rico one year later, with thousands of families still without basic needs like a mattress," said Bryan Murphy, president and founder of Tomorrow Sleep. "We are committed to giving back to communities in need. Providing mattresses for families still displaced by the hurricanes is one small way we can contribute to the rebuilding of this region."
The mattresses were distributed across the impacted regions of Puerto Rico, Liberia, St. Thomas, St. John, and St. Croix. Good360, a global leader in product philanthropy, facilitated distribution through its nonprofit partners.
"Mattresses are a high need item, especially in disaster-impacted regions, but they are also an item that people often go without because of limited resources," said Howard Sherman, CEO of Good360. "Good360's partnership with Tomorrow Sleep means that we can start to close that gap and deliver mattresses to areas where they are needed most, helping communities along their path to recovery."
Tomorrow Sleep, a subsidiary of Serta Simmons Bedding, LLC, develops and manufactures its mattresses in the USA.
