Fast Fact: Mattress Industry Sales Climb 3.5% in Q2

Mattress industry sales totaled $3.81 billion in the second quarter, a 3.5 percent increase over the same quarter in 2017, according to preliminary estimates from Impact Consulting Services’ proprietary industry model.
Compared to this year’s first quarter, second quarter sales are down 5.1 percent due in part to Bedding’s seasonality.
The model from Impact Consulting, parent company of Home Furnishings Business, includes revised figures from 2017 that reflect revised data from the Commerce Department’s Bureau of Economic Analysis.
