Fast Fact: Women Increase Among Labor Force in 2026

The growth of both men and women in the labor force plummeted after 2006, due to both the recession and a slowing population growth.

The rate of growth for women is projected to increase up to 8.0 percent between 2016 and 2026—up from 6.1 percent growth the previous decade, while men are expected to increase by 5.3 percent during the same time period.
