Century Furniture has announced that industry veteran Keith Nichols has been promoted to vice president of manufacturing.
He will take over for Kevin Boyle, who will retire at the end of the year.
Nichols was formerly plant manager for Century at their largest upholstery operation, where he successfully oversaw a 50 percent growth in production in his tenure. Prior to plant manager, Nichols held several leadership roles at Century.
In his new position, he will be directly responsible for all of Century’s manufacturing facilities. He will also play an important role in the growth and development of additional capacity for Century’s manufacturing and the overall strategic growth of the company.
“We are excited to have Keith Nichols step into this critical role for Century. Keith’s in-depth knowledge of our operations, having successfully managed our largest upholstery operation, makes him the ideal candidate,” said Alex Shuford III, president of Century and CEO of Rock House Farm Family of Brands.
“We will be relying on Keith’s knowledge and manufacturing expertise to lead our operations teams forward as we look to expand and increase our domestic manufacturing capacity,” he added.
A graduate of N.C. State with a degree in furniture manufacturing and management, Keith currently lives in Hickory, N.C., with his wife, Rhonda, who also works for Rock House Farms as engineering manager, and their three children.
