In the newly created position of senior electrical and project engineer, Riley will work closely with the company’s engineering team to implement new technologies into the company’s product line. He reports to Robert Eskridge, vice president and chief engineer.
“We are making major strides in pushing innovation forward in the sleep products arena by developing creative products that help improve people’s sleep, and this step to enhance our design and engineering team is one more step for us to elevate product design,” said Phil Sherman, president of Customatic.
“Our team is constantly thinking outside of the box to develop new approaches to design and product development, and by expanding our engineering department with smart talent will certainly allow us to build on our creativity,” Sherman continued.
Riley’s industry experience includes nearly three years with Tempur Sealy Internat’l as global products engineer, where he helped develop advance technology and adjustable bedding products. Prior to joining Customatic, Riley was program manager and senior electrical engineer for Big Ass Solutions, the manufacturer of Big Ass Fans for residential and commercial installations. He also held a number of design and engineering positions with Lexmark, Texas Instruments, MacLellan Integrated Services and Lockheed Martin Astronautics.
“We’re thrilled to have Dan join our engineering and design team,” Sherman said. “He’s a perfect fit for our team, and his history in working with Robert during their time at Tempur Sealy and at Lexmark will give them an immediate jumpstart on work synergies.”
