Gift For Life, the sole charitable organization for the gift and home industries, raised more than $225,000 for Aids treatment and prevention at its annual “Party for Life” in New York City.
Event organizers said the 26th annual party, which benefitted DIFFA, the Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids, set a record with its fund-raising efforts.
“The 26th Party for Life was one for the record books,” said George Kacic, Gift for Life’s chair. “We raised more money and had a fantastic event in a new location with hundreds of guests. A huge thank you to all of our supporters.”
Trevor Cohen of Giftcraft was presented with the Chuck Yancy Lifetime Achievement Award, honoring his commitment to the industry, his company’s innovative designs, and his generosity. A special tribute also was given to the late Dr. Matilde Krim for her influence and guidance for Gift For Life’s founding in 1992 and her inspiration over the years.
