Art Van to Officially Open 5 Stores in St. Louis Market

Art Van Furniture’s largest franchisee will officially open five stores in the St. Louis market on Friday with ribbon-cutting ceremonies at each location.

The five stores formerly housed Rothman Furniture and Mattress, a 90-year-old family-owned retailer that closed last fall. The franchisee is Jay Steinback, who was Rothman’s president and CEO.

The ribbon-cuttings are scheduled between 9:45 a.m. and 3:45 p.m., and a $1,000 donation to a local charity will be made by each store.

Two of the new Art Van locations are in the O’Fallon, Mo., and the others are in Richmond Heights, Bridgeton and St. Louis.

Charities that will receive $1,000 are the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, H.E.R.O.E.S. Care, Operation Food Search, Team Gateway To A Cure, and Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Two other former Rothman’s stores will be converted to Art Van locations at a later date.
