RC Willey Opens Second Store in Sacramento Market

Retailer RC Willey has opened a 170,000 square-foot full-service store in Sacramento, Calif.

It is the Utah-based retailer’s 12th store, and its second in the Sacramento market.

Located on 9.75 acres, the new store will employ 150 people. Designed by Babcock Design Group and Rick Smith, vice president of visual presentation for RC Willey, the new store features an open, airy and modern design in a two-story building. Glass exterior walls and skylights allow natural light to fill the space, and the store’s interior is graced with 14-foot ceilings on the ground floor.

The store features five distinct departments of home furnishings for all styles and budgets – furniture, mattresses, electronics, appliances and flooring. The new store also includes an enormous clearance center, a live kitchen and café serving fresh cookies, drinks and frozen yogurt.

“The new store is unlike anything people in the Sacramento-area have seen before from RC Willey, and we feel is one of the most beautiful home furnishings stores anywhere,” said RC Willey President Jeff Child. “We are thrilled to be in Delta Shores and to serve Sacramento, Elk Grove, Davis, Rancho Cordova, and beyond.”

The retailer also operates six stores in Utah, three in Nevada, and one in Boise, Idaho.
