Blue Bell Mattress Promotes Shaffer, Gaspari to Key Sales Posts

Strengthening its sales team in the wake of its recently announced partnership with King Koil, independent mattress producer Blue Bell has promoted Leah Shaffer and Jonathan Gaspari to vice president of sales.

The pair will primarily work on large key accounts, but Shaffer will also lead sales for Natura, another Blue Bell licensing partner.

Shaffer joined Blue Bell in 2013 as director of sales. She started her career with Simmons Bedding Co. in 2003 and held a number of key sales positions, including senior strategic account manager.

Gaspari joined Blue Bell in 2015 as director of sales and has been responsible for the success of the company’s largest accounts in the Northeast. Prior to joining Blue Bell, Gaspari was director of national accounts for Simmons Bedding Co.

He started his career in the bedding industry with Sealy, where he held a number of positions, including national account training manager. In 2009, he joined retail buying group Furniture First as director of mattresses.

Shaffer and Gaspari report to Rebecca Gray, senior vice president of sales and marketing, and Richard Tauber, executive vice president of sales.

“Leah and Jonathan have been instrumental in our growth over the last couple of years,” said Mark Kolovson, CEO of Blue Bell. “Our portfolio of retail customers continues to grow, and under our new strategic alliance with King Koil, we expect even greater things as we expand our reach into the Midwest.”
